  2. Improved masonry grid for images

  3. Improved table view

  4. Drag and drop tasks and attachment widgets with a long press/click in a note.

1.3 Bug fixes and new payment structure

We've added some bug fixes and changed the payment structure of Recto.

  1. Instead of a one-time upfront payment for each app on each platform, we introduced Recto Pro, which is a monthly, yearly or lifetime purchase for all platforms. The app is free to download and free to use up to 3 folders and 20 notes, anything beyond that needs Recto Pro. The free version is not squeezed on functionality, so all features of Recto are free to use, for everyone.

    1. Anyone that already bought the app, is automatically set on the Lifetime purchase path for Recto Pro, I thank you for your support.

  2. Drag and drop to reorder your task list, click and hold anywhere in the task (but not on the checkbox or a date label), and rearrange it anywhere in your note

  3. If multiple images after each other are set to 50% they form a masonry grid on macOS, which also lets you rearrange the images via a drag and drop functionality

  4. Added functionality to support PDF files being part of a note

  5. Improved PDF export functions

  6. Improved taks reminders

  7. Improved sync across devices, it is now quicker and loads faster on 'the other' device

  8. Improved some bug fixes through customer feedback, so please let us know your experience.

1.2.91 Bug fixes and improved features (in the test phase)

We've added some new features and few bug fixes to Recto to make the workflow better. Newly add features are:

  1. Improved copy and pasting tasks, now their state and date label are copied as well.

  2. Improved audio widget which now states the name of the audio file, duration and improved scrubbing, now scrubbing can be done by the two new buttons, 30sec forward and 15sec backward or via clicking/tapping on the wave form. Audio also plays further while phone is put on lock screen.

  3. Fixed that sometimes it is hard to tick off a task within a note on iOS

  4. Added the ability to give a task an indent to create a subtask. We call it a subtask, because it also appears in that way in the Task Center.

  5. Repeated reminders become available when a reminder is added to a task, however the repeat function didn't create the new task with the new date. We fixed that and added an icon to see visually if a task is a recurring task.

  6. Now the folder structure stays as you like it, collapse folders or not, it stays how you left it. Comes in handy when you work with subfolders.

1.2.9 First update, bug fixes and new features; WatchOS and PDF export amongst others

We've added some new features and few bug fixes to Recto to make the workflow better. Newly add features are:

  1. Now you can export a Note with all non-dynamic information (audio files) to PDF, which gives you a lot of options, like a cover page, table of contents (based on header styles), one or two column. You can even set a personal footer text and give each picture a caption (from the right click menu on an image), which is only visible in the PDF export.

  2. Now you can add audio files to notes and play/pause and scrub them inside Recto. Visually in a small widget that is being shown within the note. Chose an audio file from the file picker, drag and drop or paste it into a note and it will be uploaded to your Recto database.

  3. Change the background of the task center to your liking. In the settings menu you can now chose your own background image for the Task Center (in light and dark mode different images possible).

  4. Within a note you can pop-out the window so you can work on multiple notes at once. The pop-out button can be found in the toolbar within a note.

  5. We've added a WatchOS app that comes with the iOS app. On your Watch you now can see the Task Center and take voice notes to directly add them to a note.

  6. A new note comes now with a new random emoji.

  7. The share menu on iOS after sending an image to Recto kept loading, even after the image was added to a note.

1.2.8 Launching version

The basic of Recto, where notes becomes plans, with dated tasks and all tasks sorted in the Task Center.

Notes can be formatted basically and links can be added with a link preview to make the notes more visually pleasing and the links more descriptive. Images can be attached and collected within notes, even from the Share menu on iOS.
